Gavel & Co is a private auctioneering company specialising in the sale of properties that are under stress. The founder members have 30 years of property experience as owners and franchisees of estate agencies and auction firms. The recent implosion of the world economy and slump in property sales prompted a strategic shift to the dynamic and fast-paced world of auctioneering.

Gavel & Co's head office is in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, with branches in the Western Cape and Gauteng. Our base of operations has extended to the inclusion of affiliated Network Partners throughout South Africa, giving us a truly national reach. Growing this network of experienced property professionals is a key element of our business strategy and future growth and we have developed a number of ways in which to involve partners nationally.

A cornerstone of our unique approach to business is based on the personal touch and a commitment to achieving results for clients. The company counts, among others, FNB Home Loans as a valued client and partner that underscores the success it has achieved in a relatively short period of time.
